A brief history of the Kings Arms.
The Kings Arms is a historic village inn on South Street in Stratton-on-the-Fosse. The present building dates from the late 18th century and retains many traditional architectural features.
For generations, the pub has served as a meeting place for villagers, travellers and visitors to the Somerset countryside. Its position opposite Downside Abbey has made it a familiar local landmark, while its food, ales, hospitality and guest accommodation have helped it continue the long tradition of the English village inn.
Today, The Kings Arms remains a characterful community pub, combining its historic surroundings with food, drink, social events and overnight accommodation for visitors exploring Stratton-on-the-Fosse and the surrounding area.
